Nearmio is deliberately narrow. Here is everything it holds, and the things it does not.
About your store
- Your shop's domain and the country it is based in (used as the default for new locations and for shopper searches).
- The locations you add: names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, websites, tags, Google links and pin coordinates. These are business addresses you have chosen to publish; they are shown on your storefront.
- Your plan and subscription status, from Shopify.
- The email address and messages you send through Support or the live chat.
Nearmio requests no access to your products, orders, customers or theme. It cannot read or change them.
About your shoppers
- Near me uses the shopper's location inside their browser to sort the list. That location is never sent to Nearmio.
- A typed search ("3000", "Perth") is sent to our map provider to find the place, and the result is cached so the next shopper searching the same thing is faster. Nothing identifying the shopper is attached to it.
- The map records anonymous counts of what happens on it: a view, a search, a filter change, a directions click, a View on Google click, plus the number of results. No names, emails, IP addresses or device identifiers.
Nearmio does not track shoppers across pages or stores.
Who else handles it
Hosting and the database are on Railway; map tiles and place lookups come from LocationIQ. The privacy policy at nearmio.com/privacy lists them with links to their own policies, along with your rights.
Deleting it
Uninstalling the app and the 48-hour window after it are described in Uninstalling and reinstalling. To have everything removed sooner, ask through Support.
