Tags are a column on Products and on Orders. Choose Tags in Choose fields.
In a cell
Click the tag cell. It opens an editor with the product's tags, each with a cross to take it off, and a box to Add a tag. Enter adds the typed tag; Done closes the editor and keeps the edit.
On several rows at once
Select the tag cells of two or more rows, right-click the selection, and choose Edit tags of 3 products. The editor is headed "Tags of 3 products": a tag added there goes on all of them, and a tag shown on some can be put on all or taken off all.
What a tag change is
A change to tags is the tags you added and the tags you took off. It is never the product's whole list, so:
- A tag another app or a colleague puts on the product while you work is never written over.
- Review changes shows the tags added and the tags removed, not a before and after list.
- A revert takes off only the tags the change added, and puts back only the tags it removed.
Order of tags
Shopify keeps tags in alphabetical order, whatever order you add them in.
