The grid works like a spreadsheet. Rows are your variants, products or orders; columns are the fields you chose.
Typing
Click a cell and type. When you leave the cell, the edit is saved as a draft change. The line over the grid counts them: "3 draft changes on 2 variants. Nothing has been sent to Shopify."
- A dimension, weight or volume is a number and a unit. Pick the unit from the list that appears while the cell is edited.
- A true or false is Yes or No. Delete clears it.
- A country is its name or its two-letter code.
- A tag cell opens its own editor. See Editing tags.
Pasting
Copy a column from a spreadsheet and paste it into the grid: each row gets its value. A pasted number with a unit, "12 cm", fills a dimension cell with both. A pasted value the cell cannot hold is left out and the cell is left as it is.
Filling down
Select a cell and drag its corner handle down. Every row you drag over gets the value. This is the quickest way to put one value on a whole page.
Undo
Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) takes back the last edit made on this page. See Undo and draft changes.
A row can hold 25 changes
One row takes up to 25 draft changes at a time. A 26th is refused with "Limit: 25 changes. Apply them." Apply what is staged, then carry on.
A page at a time
The grid shows a page of rows, with Previous and Next. Draft changes on other pages are kept and counted; Review changes lists them all.
