metangelo is a bulk editor for your Shopify store. You pick the fields you want to fill in, edit them in a grid that works like a spreadsheet, review every change, and apply. Nothing is written to your store until you press Apply, and every change you apply can be reverted.
What you can edit
- Variants: price, compare-at price, cost, SKU, barcode, weight, country of origin, HS code, and your own variant metafields.
- Products: description, SEO title, SEO description, tags, and your own product metafields.
- Orders from the last 60 days: note, PO number, tags, and your own order metafields.
See Which fields can be edited.
How a change reaches your store
- You edit cells in the grid. Each edit is kept as a draft change. The line over the grid says so: "3 draft changes on 2 variants. Nothing has been sent to Shopify."
- Review changes lists each draft with the value in your store now and the value after you apply.
- Apply sends only the cells you changed, and reads each value back from your store to show it landed.
- The result page shows what happened to every cell, and offers Revert these changes.
What you do not need
- No file, unless you want one. The grid is the editor. A CSV round trip is there for the merchants who prefer a spreadsheet.
- No developer. Fields are shown by name, not by namespace and key.
- No carrier or shipping app to fill in dimensions. The app fills your fields; your rate app reads them.
Where to start
Your first edit walks the first ten minutes. If you are here to fill in dimensions for a shipping rate, go straight to Filling in dimensions.
